Example: a team captain runs the /veto slash command and a custom bot posts the ban and pick sequence for a best-of-3 match.

You may not need a custom bot

MEE6, Carl-bot, Ticket Tool and no-code builders like BotGhost cover a lot for a few dollars a month. A custom bot earns its price when the work touches your own systems. The builder comparison goes deeper.

A free or premium bot is enough if

  • You need levels, reaction roles or a basic ticket panel
  • Nothing has to read or write your own data
  • A few dollars a month for a premium tier is fine

Go custom if

  • The bot must talk to your league site, store, database or API
  • You're running three or four bots and want one that does it all
  • You need to own the code, the data and the bot's name
  • Your workflow is specific: match vetoes, applications, paid tiers

How a build works

The same five steps for a small bot and a big one. The price is fixed at step two.

  1. 1

    Send a brief

Tell me what the bot should do and which systems it has to talk to. The form takes about five minutes.

  2. 2

    Get a fixed quote

Small bots get a price straight away. Larger ones start with a Bot Blueprint: a call, a written spec and an acceptance checklist.

  3. 3

    Build in a test server

The bot is built and tested in a private server that mirrors your roles and channels, so you can try every command before launch.

  4. 4

    Launch on your application

The bot goes live under your own Discord application. You get the source code, the token and setup docs.

  5. 5

    Keep it running

The first month of Care is included. After that you can keep hosting and updates with me, or run it yourself.

Bots I've built

Real projects, described from the code. Clients who haven't agreed to be named are described instead, and co-built work says so.

Rivals League, a Swedish league whose platform I build, 2026

Discord operations for a 154-team league

The Discord side of a league platform: every team gets its roles and channels from the roster, the league's broadcasts are announced automatically, and players log in to the league site with Discord.

Provisioning scripts build the server from the league roster: 7 divisions, 18 groups and 154 teams, each with its own role, private voice channel and staff permissions. Every script has a dry-run mode.

An esports tournament organiser, 2024 to 2025

Map veto bot for CS2 and VALORANT matches

Captains run the ban and pick phase inside a private match channel instead of in a spreadsheet or a third-party site.

Admins create a veto channel per match, assign a captain for each team and set the format with slash commands.

I rebuilt the veto flow and the side-pick logic on top of an existing codebase started by another developer.

A Swedish online esports league, 2025

Registration and setup bot for a 131-team league season

Team registration, player rosters, roles and channels for a full season, kept in step with the league's Google Sheet.

Captains run /register and get a team card with Add Player and Request Sub buttons that open short forms for in-game name, tracker profile and nationality.

Built together with another developer from the league.

An esports tournament organiser, 2025

Ticket bot with control rooms and transcripts

Players open support, match or custom tickets from one control message, and staff get a full record of every conversation.

A control room message has buttons for support, match and custom tickets. Each ticket is a private, numbered channel.

One developer, from brief to launch

I'm Adam Peleback. I started as a tournament admin at G-Loot in 2017, moved into QA and frontend development, and have built Discord bots since 2019: ticket systems and the Discord side of a 154-team league, plus co-built veto and league registration bots.

You talk to the person who writes the code. That keeps quotes honest and changes quick, and it's why I take on a limited number of builds each month.

Common questions

All questions

How much does a custom Discord bot cost?

A focused bot that does one job well starts at $590. Bots with several connected systems start at $1,490, and bots with dashboards, payments or league data start at $3,500. The cost guide shows what the wider market charges and why.

Do I own the bot?

Yes. The bot runs on a Discord application in your account, so you hold the token. You also get the full source code and setup docs, and you can move hosting whenever you like.

Who builds it?

Adam Peleback. I have run esports tournaments since 2017 and built Discord bots since 2019. There is no agency and no outsourcing: the person you talk to writes the code.

How long does it take?

A one-system bot usually takes one to two weeks from the approved quote. Bots with several systems take two to four weeks. You get a delivery date with the quote.

Can you fix a bot someone else made?

Yes. Bot Rescue is a fixed $149 for diagnosing and fixing one broken or outdated bot. If I can't fix it, you don't pay.

Is a custom bot allowed by Discord?

Yes, as long as it follows Discord's Terms of Service and Developer Policy. I only build real bot applications, never selfbots, and I turn down work like fake members or scraping other servers.
